Future Collaborations.

M.M.I was a staple at 8 Hawkins street elementary in the ironbound section of Newark, New Jersey where Dox worked with the 2nd-6th graders in the after school program and will be working into the summer of 2019 and is preparing to return to the program into 2020.

As of September 9th, 2019, Dox was hired by the Newark Mayor's Office via special advisor Jennifer Kohl to begin servicing the entire city and beyond.

MED-eD looks forward to an opportunity to work with your school, organization, business, community, family or non-profit next to continue to help our people heal.

The History of M.M.I.

Our initiative started organically as the director of M.M.I, Dox Diggla, began to do free public meditations known locally as #PEACEINTHEPARK. Within 1 summer, meditations went from only 1 participant to 60+ weekly meditators of all ages; many of which had never successfully meditated before. Word eventually spread throughout the community and local teachers began to inquire about Dox’s meditation service at their respective schools; the first of which being one of Newark's notoriously violent schools Barringer High School. Within a month of the program’s inception, almost 40 students in #THEFUTUREPROJECT had improved focus, self-restraint, anger management skills, as well as scholastic performance. Freshmans and Seniors alike were excited about weekly meetings from our first week of engagement. We've had such an impact on the youth that we are being extended the opportunity to embark on a full school year long program for Barringer's #FUTUREPROJECT.

M.M.I was also added to Rutgers University Newark Campus in the summer of 2018 to assist the students enrolled in the Youth Media Symposium; one of Newark's most successful college prep programs facilitated by Kaleena Berryman, which made an instant and lasting impact on the children involved. Dox Diggla was commemorated for his contributions at their awards ceremony and was invited back to the program in the summer of 2019 and extended an invitation to work with the students of Abbott Student Leadership (ALI) for the entire school year by way of Rutgers Newark.

Dox worked with Clinton Hill Community & Early Childhood Center staff in the Fall of 2018 to help the teachers recalibrate and learn valuable techniques to stay in peace and remain focused throughout the school year. Dox has also done spot sessions with 1 of Newarks's top ranked charter schools KIPP SPARK ACADEMY via Tamika Killins and will be returning to assist their teacher’s staff after being a highlight with the students.
